Find all the separations that are part of the current displayed reference
The expert form will allow you to build easily complexe combined queries for molecules and data. A combined query can find separations with any combination of one, two or three molecules, and up to four fields of text or numeric data.
1. You can specify the molecules as structures, names, or formulas
Click the label at the top of a molecule box

and select in the dialog box the molecule role and type of search
Optional: To exclude the separations that use this molecule, set "NOT logic" setting:
![]()
2. Enter your Sample / CSP / Eluent data or structure
- Double-click the Molecule box
- This will open:
* ISIS/Draw if a structure search was selected
* A dialog box if a structure name or formula was selected
For CSP Structure Search:
Click:

to automatically Paste a Chiral Stationary phase structure from a list of CSP trade names.
3. Enter text or numeric data
a. Click one data field box:
![]()
b. You see a dialog box. Click the field that you want to search.
(Optional) To exclude the separations with the data that you will specify for this field, set "NOT logic" setting:
![]()
c. Click OK. You see the field name on the data field box.
d. For each field that you want to search, click the data value box below the field name.
![]()
In the dialog box, Click a vocabulary term, if available.
If you do not see a list of vocabulary terms, type a term or a numerical value directly in the text box.
* To find a numerical value:
type the search operator (=, >, >=, <, <=, <><>, exists, between) in front of the number you entered in the text box.
* To find a text value:
click Full string to find an exact term,
click Substring to find a term embedded within a larger word or sentence
e. Click OK. You see your query in the data value box.
f. For each data field that you want to search, repeat Steps a to e. You can specify a maximum of four data fields.
4. When you are finished, click Search
